Leica: DM5500 B

Automated Upright Microscope System for Life Science Research
With motorized z-focus, coded 7x nosepiece, fully automated DIC, and 5x or 8x fluorescence axis, the automated Leica DM5500 B research microscope provides all transmitted light contrast methods including the world’s first fully automated Differential Interference Contrast (DIC).

The Z drive is motorized, which offers the convenience of automatic parfocality adjustment, saved focus levels, and automated positioning of various Z levels.

Dedicated software together with the motorized fluorescence axis make the Leica DM5500 B a powerful tool for applications such as immunofluorescence with deconvolution option, FISH, and live cell imaging.

Your Advantages

Automatically the best image
Change contrast methods with one button click: depending on the selected contrast technique and objective, microscope settings set automatically for the best image quality without time-consuming adjustments.

Excellent image quality
Fully automated DIC: with one touch of a button all system components automatically move into the light path and the exact bias position is stored for each objective for reproducibility and excellent image quality.

SmartTouch touchscreen
With the Leica SmartTouch touchscreen, all settings are clearly arranged with the same intuitive graphical user interface as LAS and LAS AF software for convenient, intuitive control of the microscope.

Constant Color Intensity Control
Constant Color Intensity Control (CCIC) always provides the best color temperature when the lamp voltage is changed, which saves time.

High contrast & brilliant images
The apochromatically-corrected fluorescence axis with improved correction provides high contrast, brilliant images.
