New General Manager for Semrock

ROCHESTER, N.Y. October 31, 2011 – Robert Beeson has been selected to succeed Michael Cumbo as General Manager for the optical filter company. Rob was part of the Semrock team during its formative years in optical telecommunications after gaining valuable experience in the field at companies such as JDS Uniphase and Southwest Research Institute. Before his return to Semrock as VP of Engineering, he was a Principle Physics Engineer for Raytheon and DRS Technologies. He rejoined Semrock in October, 2006, and helped the company firmly establish itself in the life science filter market in his previous role as VP of Engineering.
