New Hands at the Helm of ATFilms

Boulder, CO., February 21, 2012 - Advanced Thin Films, (ATFilms) manufacturers of high-performance laser optics, announced today that Joe Stupfel has been promoted as the new General Manager at their Boulder location. He will be responsible for the continuing growth of ATFilms on all levels of performance, quality and delivery.

Joe has been with IDEX Corporation since 2003 and has held numerous senior leadership positions, including overseeing the Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Strategic Business Development functions within IDEX Health & Science. Most recently he was the Director of Integration for the CVI Melles Griot acquisition. A BS graduate in Biochemistry from the University of Oregon, Joe also holds an MBA from Willamette University.

Former ATFilms President and co-founder, Ramin Lalezari will be moving into the role of Chief Technology Officer to pursue his passion for technology development and innovation. His knowledge, experience and creativity will be instrumental in keeping ATFilms at the forefront of low loss IBS coatings, low scatter super-polished substrates and high damage threshold optics.

ATFilms is part of the newly formed IDEX Optics & Photonics platform, along with CVI Melles Griot and Semrock, Inc.
